Bay Area Bike Share provides an easy, affordable option for quick trips around the city. Before you ride, you’ll need to purchase an annual membership ($88), 3-day membership ($22), or 24-hour membership ($9).

Because our system is intended for quick trips to get you from Point A to Point B, you’ll receive unlimited trips up to 30 minutes each at no additional cost. Overtime fees (listed below) are incurred for longer trips.

Annual memberships are ideal for Bay Area residents and commuters. Customers can purchase an annual membership online using a credit or debit card. Every annual member will be mailed a unique key that is used to unlock bicycles from docking stations around the Bay Area.

Click here to purchase an annual membership, or visit our gift store to purchase a membership for someone else.

Customers can purchase 24-hour and 3-day memberships at any kiosk using a credit or debit card. One card can check out a maximum of two bicycles. A security hold of $101 will be placed on this credit or debit card, and will remain on the account for up to 5-10 days, depending upon the individual banking institution's policies. 24-hour and 3-day members can print a ride code to unlock a bicycle and begin a trip. A ride code only lasts for one trip. For subsequent trips, members must swipe their credit or debit card at the kiosk to receive a new code at no additional cost.

Visit any station kiosk to purchase a 24-hour or 3-day membership, or visit our gift store to purchase a membership for someone else.

If you plan on using a bicycle for an extended period of time, we encourage you to rent a bike at a  local bike shop or rental business.
